Dr. Kelli Langan
President
Dr. Langan began her career as a secondary math instructor after acquiring her BS from Pittsburg State University. She later earned her masters in mathematics from the same university before pursuing her doctoral degree at the University of Arkansas.
She served six years as a research associate for the Office of Innovation for Education prior to becoming the Director for Assessment and Accountability at Springdale School District. This is her third year in the role as the district testing coordinator.
Dr. Felicia Petty Smith
Secretary
Dr. Smith brings 36 years of educational experience to the AATP Board. Throughout her educational career she has served as a bus driver, para, teacher and assistant principal before becoming the Supervisor of Assessments and Supports Services. Dr. Smith was the 2005 Assistant Principal of the Year Award recipient and the The Arkansas MLK Commission's 2017 Passing the Torch Award for outstanding leadership and community service. She is also part of the Cognia Accreditation Team and the local Salvation Army Advisory Board.
Dr. Matt Saferite
Treasurer
Dr. Saferite taught junior and senior high math before becoming a school administrator. The last 25 years, he has served as a junior high and senior high assistant principal and principal, district technology director, district professional development director, Executive Director and currently serves Bentonville Schools as the district test coordinator. He has also taught Masters and Doctorate level courses at two universities and has contributed to several books, including the National Association of Secondary School Principals “Building Ranks.”
